Arid Cliffs – Complete scene download

This scene was initially developed as an animation test for a project I did for Mediastation quite some time ago already.
The terrain is made with World-Machine and is spiced up further in Terragen 2.5.

During development of new tutorials for CGScenery.com by using this scene I stumbled upon some nice rock formations in this scene and this is how the scene started to develop in this final result which I will share with you all :)

Amazing animation Flock of Birds – Object Sequences in Terragen 2

In collaboration with Planetside Software and The Ranch renderfarm Hannes’ Janetzko created another lovely and lively! Terragen 2 animation.

For this animation Hannes used 3DS Max to generate the bird flocking sequence and tree motion.
It was then rendered entirely in Terragen 2 on The Ranch at 1080p.
There is no compositing done here, everything is rendered natively in Terragen2 using the built-in object sequence support.

Congratulations to all parties involved for this very impressive work!

Terragen 2 video tutorials: User Interface – Part 2

In this second tutorial for CGScenery.com I will go through the very basics of the tab-based UI and the node network based UI of Terragen and how they relate to each other.

In the next tutorial we will have a look at different ways of manipulating the camera in the 3D preview and how to make sure that what we see in the 3D preview is what we will also render.
